Was On The Stage With Booth

Fond du Lac, Wis., Oct. 28.- Henry Shafer Quick, aged 75 years, and at one time recognized as a leading actor of the l'nited States, died here Monday. For a number of years under the name of Shafer he took prominent parts in plays under the management of Junius Brutus Booth. He was traveling with Mr. Booth when the latter gentleman made hls last appearance as Sir Edward Mortimer in "The Iron Chest," Nov. 19, 1852, at New Orleans. For the past forty years he has resided in this city with hls wife.
