The issue between the friends of sound money and the believers in 50 cent dollars is at bottom a question whether oheap goods or high prioes are best for the whole country. Until the people understand that their iuterests will be best served by a gradual reduction in the cost of all kinds of conimodities plans for getting rich by payiug more for goods will be advocated and seriously considered.
