Our County Fair

The annual meeting of tlie Washtenaw County Agricultural and Horticultura! society, convened on the Fair Grounds Tuesday morning last as required by the constitution, and on account oi' the inclemency ot the weather, adjourned to meet at the supervisors' room in the court house, at two o'clock. John Sperry was elected temporary president and 11. C. MeAllaster temporary secretary of the meeting. ün reconvening at two o'clock, the following oilicers were elected for the ensuing year:- President, E. E. Leiand; vice presidents, Geo. W. Phelps, VV. E. Stocking, John F. Spafförd, Leu Kelley, Wm. Campbell; recording secretary, 11. C. Mc Allaster; corresponding secretary, F. E. Mills; treasurer, F. H. Belser; board of managers, John Kepler, W. E. Boyden. 15enj. Geer, P. Tuomey, Isaac Savery, A. J. Sawyer (Webster), O. M. Martin, John Sperry, E. F. Mills, W. C. Stevens, M. Seabolt. E. Richards, P. McLaughlin, J. F. Avery, and F. B. Braun. The meeting of the board of managers will ,be held in January, but it was the sense of the meeting that a fair should be held each year, and the board of managers were given to understand that it was expected. The fair will npt be dispensed with because all the wants and wishes of a particular class cannot be met.
