Insane Man At Large

New York, Feb. 3.- John Murphy, alias Whitehead, the alleged dynamiter, who was recently released with Dr.Gallagher from Portland prison, England. and who has been conflned at the Amityville (L. I.) insane asylum for some time, escaped from that institution on Sunday night and is still at large. Early Sunday night Whitehead was taken into the reception room to say adieu to a patiënt who had been discharged. The keeper's attention was distracted for a few moments and Whitehead walked out of doors and made his escape.
