Explosion Of An Oiltank

Chicago, Feb. 3.- The power house of the West Chicago Street railway at Rockwell and West Madison streets narrowly escaped destruction by the explosión of one of the large oiltanks, ■which held the supply of fuel for the engines. Three employés, Chief Kngineer Murphy, Henry ,Martens, and John Peterson, were severely burned. Murphy's injuries are probably fatal.
