Adam Stans and faniily spent Sunday with relatives in Macon. Gilbert llurd wil.l entertain the Farmers' Club tbis afternoon. Rev M. L. Marvin óceupied the Baptist pulpit in ühelsea last Sunday. The tour months old child of Mr. and Mrs. ülen UoWard died Monday. Mrs. Dr. Traver visited the last of the week in Öomerset Center andKorth Adams. Fred Kanouse lias rented the farm of llarry Wheeler, and will take possession ín tne spring. Samuel Haight and wife of Tecumseli visited 11. W. Bassett and other friends over Sunday. A doublé birthday surprise party was given Mis. J. L. Iloyt and Mrs. E. Valentine last week. Revival meetings were begun at the Baptist church last Tuesday and will continue indeflnitely. The Ladies Aid Society of the M. E. church met with Miss C. F. Smith, Wednesday afternoon. Wrs. J. A. Ilumphrey of Detroit, I spent the latter portion of last week visiting relatives liere. A jolly sleighload of Kormal girls stopped over and took lunch at Thorn's restaurant last Saturday. Rot. W.T. W.dlace has been al Willis several days this week assisting Kev. uibson in ins revival meetings. The Ladies' Aid Society of the Baptist churcta met last Kriday with Mis. lilanchard aud had a social tea. A donation will begiven this evening (Fridayi at the l'resbyterian parsonage for the benefit of Kev T í. j-eith. The high school and gru Timar school quartets will furnish music for the (Jounty Teachers' association here Saturday. Miss Lydia Koeder and Miss Emina Cross gave social parties for their young friends, last week Wednesday and triday. S. T. Fairbanks will move back into the McKinnon sture soon, and (. (). Townsend will move into the Nissly store thus made vacant. The Baptist bociety hs a new preacher m the person of Kev. 1). Q. Barry of Jackson. He was their pas tor here a nummer of years ago. A number of the friends of Mr. and Mjs. Hen fmith, chierty f rom the M. E. church, spent Wednesday evening there making the occasion a party for them. Teams are in great demand now by those who are rushing in the ice. Many people who haven t "cut any ice" for a" year are doing a rushing business now. A sle:gh load of Milán people spent last Friday evening with Miss Idalene Webb. Another load from Ypsilanti were with A. J. Warren on the same evening. The Christian Scientists have rented the oíd G-. A. H. hall over Xissly's store, and will hMve it reíitted with seats, new earpets etc. suitable for their regular services. The Bay View Eeading Circle will hold the next meeting at the home of Miss May Ilurd, two miles from town. This meeting will be a combination eircle meeting and sleigh ride.
