Jivery one is busy this week packing ice for summer use. Frank Smith spent a few days with friends in this vicinity. Mis Nonlman of Ann Arbor, spent Saturday and Sunday with Osbert Williams and family. Mrs. Whi'tmore and Mrs. Scadinsppnt Wednesday and Thursday with Mrs. Lee near Urwss Lake. The W. H. M. S. sent a barrel of bedding and clothing to the iJeaconesses' Home last Wednesday. A large load of houseliold furniture from Aun Arbor passed by the school house in District No. 2 last Friday. The driver called to inquire the way to a certain young bachelor's home. Since then we can almost hear the chiming of bells, and detect the fragrance of orange blossoms waf ted on the air. The Y. P. S. C. E. will give a social Tuesday evening. Feb. 9, at the residence of Brain.trd Sears. It will be a 'Scotch" social. The literary circle met last Sa'urday evening at Will neus i wo large sleighloads made thinga lively on the road. They have a circle yell which I wil] not try to give in this paper. The W. II. M. S. held their annual meeting wita Mrs. Scadin Thursday, Jan. 2. JMnrier was served at nooƱ AJthough the day was cold ;tnd stormy the attendance was very good. The following oliicers were chosen fnr the ensuing year: Mrs. Sears, president; Mrs. Latson, vioe-president; Miss [da Kenny. secretary and treasurer; Miss Nellie Burnett, secretary and treasurer of the home department.
