Mrs. John S. Pacey is very sick. Len Rosier has returned home from Freeport. S. L. Jenney and wife entertained the pedro club last week. The K. O. T. M. dance was a succes. 108 dance tickets were sold. Daniel Sackett has a contract to build a new house at Pinkney this spring. Mr. Charles llyan of Ypsilanti was the guest of Dexter friends, üunday. Miss Mattie Palmer has returned home from a two months' stay in De troit. Miss Julia Sorg of Ann Arbor, was the guest of Miss Anna Hodson over Sunday. Gtarry Yerance has returned home from an extended visit with his niece at Klint. Wm. Curlett and family were guests of Wm. Darrow at Pinkney, Saturday and Sunday. John Thompson and George Alley apprised tho estáte of Mrs. Jane Iloyt last Saturday. Dr. Kobert Iloney and Ja?. Gallagher anticípate going to Washington to the inauguration. T. isoggs jr. was calle:l here irom Grand Rapids last Friday.by the serious illness of' lus moiher. Mrs. C Leilerof Ann Arbor, has been stopping with her brother on the farm for'the last two weeks. The I. O. O. F. were pleasantly entertained at the home of Charles Van Hiper, Tuesday evening. W. N. Lister, candidate for school commissioner. was canvassing the town last Thursday and Friday. George Devine has moved ba?k here from Ann Arbor. He will take up his residence on Huron street. Miss Grace Alley was home from school over Sunday. She is in the Literary department of the University. T. S. James has purchased George Francisco's interest ia the Hardware business. Air. James will now be sole propiietor. Mr. and Mrs. George Marshall had a dancing party at their residence Thursday evening.' it being their 25th wedding anniversary. Mrs. Ellen T. Alley has returned home trom Detroit, accompanied by a little six-year-old boy which she has taken to bring up. John Forth who died Saturday Feb. 2Oth, near AVbitmore Lake, at the j dence of Owen McXally, was brought to this village for burial. Mrs Wiltiam Izerley died of conBumption, two miles east of this village on the C. Waite farm. aged 21 years. Her inaiden name was IlenriettaDrew. The funeral was held on Thursday, the 25th inst , at the M. E. Church. interment in Forest Lawn cemetery. Mrs. Wm. Cunningham died Saturday at Grand Rapios and was taken Monday to Jackson for burial. Mrs. Cunningham was an old resident of this village, liyed here from her girlhood days uutil about 4 years ago. Hie was married in this village and raised a large fatnily. She was very highly respected and will be long remeinbered. as she always had a pleasant smile and a handshake for all she met.
