5 The Democrat The funeral of the late James M. Wilcoxson was eonducted by Ann Arbor ('ommandery Knights Templar Sunday.from the house of thedeceased's sister, Mrs. Jolin W. Maynard. For 50 years Mr. Wilcoxson lias been a prominent character ín Washtenaw county. He was bom in Utiea, N. Y., in 1812 and came to Ann Arbor in 180. He is remembered by all of the older citizens of the county. lle was always a very pleasant and affable gentleman and had a wide eircle of friends. Ilis mimi was stored with reminiscenors of early times in Washtenaw Co. Mach of his life bas been devoted to public service, in the oilices of judge of probate and register of deeds, as well as city offices. Thirty years ago he lost bis wife. For many years he has been a member of the family of his sister, Mrs. John W. Maynard. The funeral services tomorrow will be in charge of Arm Arbor commandery. Knights Templar. Mr. and Mrs. Maynard recently celebrated their sixtieth wedding anniversary. Mr. Wilcoxson was best man at his sisters wedding.
