A large audience gathered in the music hall over Prof. Sliaefberle's store last Saturday evening to hear 'lis flrst ]miilsl recita' and concert. The professor w.-:s assisted by Mr. Frank McIntyre, baritone, who gave Plnsutl's "I Fear No Foe." 'J'ais was vei"y well receivcd. Miss Shaeberle's iuterpretation of thlg work was vcry good her Que technique, touch and ap pearanoe could nol helr but pleaso the severesl erltlc. The ehildren'a symphony, by Haydn, furn'.shed ímni amusement. The prologue was gpokpii by Miss Elsa Haller ío.u-li nnmbei iaturn deserves special raentlon, bu time and space will not permit. "Lt Caraival ae Vealse," for violin. was very skilfully execnted by Prof. Sha.' bftrle. Prench, of the Salratlon Army, will visit the local corps of tlns city July 2Oth. The colonel has helil some of the most important comliaDds in this and other couutries. Al are welcome.
