The weather cor;ditions have been favorable fot late potatoes and where they have 'been well tended and kept free ■from bugs the erop is fairly promising but' ns a whole late potatoes seeni to indícate a rather poot yleld. Oat liarvest 'has progressed steadily and is very near conipletion; oats have been gtnerally well seeured but the yield is light, the general verdict toelng that the straw is very short and the heads only fairly well filled. Beans, buckvrheat and pastures are all in goad coDdition. Beans are fllling well and promise a good erop. Buckwheat is fine and large and if frost holds off will be a good erop. Fall plowinj. has been generally eommenced in nearly all coumties of the lower península and farmers report rhat the soil is ta splendlú shape for fb.at work. All reporta coneerniiig orchard fruit continue to gay that the yields are yoor, particulaxly applea which are still dropping badly.
