The rogents of the universlty met Weduesday for the ftrsi time this school year. President Hiitchins presided for the first time in his uew capaeity. The following new appomtmcnis nade: Wiïbur C. Abbott, a postgraduate student f rom 'Cornell and Oxford, England, to be instructor iu Instory at a salary of ijiOOO; Dr. G. C. Iluber to be secretary oí the medical faciilty iu place of Dr. W. A. Campbell. Arrangemi'ius won; made for signLag the contracta for hospital improv.'ments, for fitting out a new room in tlie law departaent, and for securing a new demonstrator of anatomy.
