Superior Cornet band met last Saturday evening and eïeeted ïiew ofiicers for next year as follows: President, James Gates; vice-president, E. C. Cíale; secretary, G. Quflckenibus'a; treasurer, Justin Gale; first leader, Ecíwin Quaekenbush: second leader, George Quackenbush. Mrs. John C. Gale is on the siok list. Micliael Furlong Is taking in taxi's at Alban & J&hnson's clothing store, Ypsilanti, every Satairday. Mrs. B. D. Geer is in Aan Arbor taking eleetric treatment. .'Mr. Roe. oí Colorado, is the gnn?st of Mr. and Mrs. James Gates for a few weeks. Rcbert Sherwood's children are having the scarlet ferer. Mr. and Mrs. A;"bert (Jates were given a pleasant surprise last Satu ■- day evening by the Superior band. It 1s always the custom of tlie band boys to serenade its meoiijeTs when they get jnarried.
