A well attended meeting of the board oí managers of the Washteoaw Fair society was held in the court house Thursday. The .oinmittoe appointed at a previous nieötlng to settle wirii the tivasnrer, F. Garpenter. ■Department F, dairy producís, Mrs. B D. Kelly. Department G, flowers, Mrs. J. M. Braun. Department H, fruit, Mrs. M. G. Moore. Department I, mechamieal works; Win. Aprill. Department K, miscellaneous, J. H. Andrews. Depai-tment L, schools, W. N. Laster. Merchants display, S. W. Miliard. Standing coniiuittees were appointed by the president. Plans for a pioneer hall were discoased. A eommlttee consisting of Mrs. .T. W. Bahbitt, Mrs. H. D. Platt and President Avery were appointed with fiül power to appoint sub-eommittees and arrange for tüO building of a large hall to be made of logs, this to be eiwted on the fair grouu.ls early in the spring, to be in readiness for the great semi-eentiiunial fair of 1898. The following committees will meet Thursday, January 20, at 10 a. m., in the supervisors' room in the court house: Premium list, rules and bylaws, aud the building committees. Board will meet at adjourned meeting on the same day at 1 p. n.
