Alfred Parsons, Frank Hill and John O'Grady are in jail on the charge of stealing a penny-in-the-slot machine from in front of the Arlington Place saloon. Late Tuèsday night the men suddenly seized the machine and ran with it. They threw it into a shed near the Ann Arbor railroad track and knowing the pólice to be after them led a lively race into the country. Finally they thought they had eluded the officers and returned to the shed and began opening the machine with a cioupling pin. Chief Sweet and Patrolmen Armbruster and Collins found them here and arrested them. This forenoon the men pleaded not guilty, their hearing being set for Monday. Hill has been out on bail awaiting trial for "holding up" an old soldier a few months ago in this city.
