Ben Harrison Is Brief

Indianapolis, Feb. 16.- When exPresident Benjamin Harrison was asked by the Associated Press for a statement regarding the destruction of the United States battleship Maine, he said: "The occurrence is a most 'terrible and shocking one. It is to be hoped that an investigation may leave no doubt that it was an accident. If here should be any room for suspectng foul play it would be very unforunate."
