William H H. Earp, Son of Dr Samuel Barp, oí OH City, Pa., formeriy rector of St. Andrew's church of U1Í3 city, died in that city on the 23d inst. A local paper pays the deceased the l'ollowing tribute: William H. H. Earp, ene of Oil City's brightest examples of earnest, industrlous and self-respecting yuuny men, dlèd, of spinal meningitis, at the hume of nis father. Dr. Samuel Earp, of Xo. 112 West Plrst street, at 2:80 o'clock this morning, after an ülness of less than three days. The deceased held a responsible positlon a.s bookkeeper for the National Transit company, and was stationed in the office of Fred S. Bat.es, treasurer of the Ohio OU compaay. He wan a general ïavorite, not only through his strlct devotion to business, but also through his kind and obliging dispu bitton. For a few days preceding his serious illness, he complained of feelmg unwell, but nothing was thougín ot the faet until Monrtay, when he went home and eomplained of feellng tiied. That evening while talklng wlth nis mother his mind wandered and a physieian was at once called, but before the latter arrived the young man was in delirium, and from that time until his ceath occurred this morning never rega'ned consciousness. Dealh has olaimed many grand spe -imens of young manhood in this city of late years; young men, whose ehara( was above reproach and whose i-vervday lives were a power for the goöd among their associates, and who gave every promise of reaching a useful and valuable citizenship. but of thtm all, there was no death that has brought .■i deeper dlsappolntmeht, and greater sorrow, to relatives and companions and no more valued young member oï communlty, than that of Wlll Earp. Ke was born in Grand Etaplds; Mlch. May 30, 1S7Ö, and carne to Oil City' about ten years ago. He was a meniber of Christ Episcopal church, and active in all maners pertalnlng to that church. He was highly educaied. and was graduated from Trinity Hall, Pennsylvanla. For sevt-ral years he was i valued employé of the Green Line offices here, and had been with the National Tiansit company about a year He was the youngts't sou of ii,-. and Mra. Samuel Earp, and is survlved by his parents, hta brother, John K Barp and sister, Miss Cornelia F Earp
