Postponed Until Monday
Washington, April 7. - The president's message on Cuba will not be sent to congress until Monday, in order to let General Lee and other Americans get out of Havana safely. It is asserted tnat the message as it stands recommends armed intervention and does not approve the recognition of the independence of Cuba. The president this morning sent for Senators Lodge, Frye and Davis and also for Representativos Cannon, Dingley and Adams. Aíter they carne out from the white house they refused to say a word regarding their conference, tmt on arrival of Senator Davis at the capítol he saw his colleagues on the foreign relations eommittee and informed one of them that no message wouid be sent in today.
