For several months the deceased has been faillng in health, but cid uoí attribute it to anytbing seriovs, and .■..■. much surprised when being informed by his physician about a week ago that hc was ill wlth diabetes. Sunday he confined to his bed, from whieh hi never again able te arise, ar-d was ui - conscious during the last 24 hours prêvious to his deaih, not reeognizing hii, mother this mornlng when sho arnved fiom Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Six years ago he carne to this city and entered the high school, and lateiwent into the employ of E. B Beo] graduating from the high school in '9u' After leaving school he took the pöfeition of manager of Dr. Zimmerman'a drug store in Wayne, where he romained one year, and since then has been manager of the Central dnig store in this city. During his business careei in this city he has won for himself the reputation of honesty and ability, of which his host of friends and admiri i . s a true manifestation. While in city he has made his home with nis aunt. Miss C. M. Weed, 121 Normal et. He leaves a mother and father, three sisters and two brothers to mourn his death, who live in Cedar Rapids. Last evening a short funeral serviel was held and the remains v ere taken to the home of his paren ts, where the interment will take place
