Hannib&l, Mo., July 20. - The sparating house at the Hercúlea powder works, located twelre miles below thls elty, on the St. Louis, Keokuk and Northwestern rallroad, has been blown up "as the result of the acid becoming hsated. Two employés were in the building, but they had warning and ftscaped before the explosión occurrad. The building was totally demolishad. No estímate of damage has been made as yet, but the principal loss will be the closing of the plant. Only giant powder and similar explosives were manufactured at the plant. 8ix Killed in Oaltlumi, Cal. Oakland, Cal., July 20.- The California Fuse works was blown up by a murderous Chinanian at 5:20 this morning. Six deputy sheriffs who wère trying to arrest the murderer were killed. Thedeadare: Charles White, son of Sheriff White; George Wooda, D. C. Cameron, Gus Koch, constablei Harry Craxoer, J. J. Lerri. The Clhlnaman had fortlfied himself in the magazine and blew it up when an attempt to arrest hlm was made.
