The Richard Webb will cas?, brought h-ere fram Lyndon township, has been appealed from the Probate to the Circuit court. Richard Webb was a man 7S years of age. He nad acted quite queer at times, and his wife, who was a stepmother to hia children, had come to Ann Arbor to see what steps were necessary for the appointment of a guardián, but she did not take any formal steps in this direotion. However, it is said that the incident came to the ears of Mr. Webb and he ivas told that his daughter, Mrs. Anna Stevenson, of North Lake, "was at the bottom of it." Mr. Webb flew into a. terrible rage and straightway made another will, cutting off Mrs. Stevenson with $100 while the estáte was valued at about $17,000. After Mr. Webb's demise the will was offered for probate and was contested by Mrs. Stevenson. Her main reliance seemed to have been that her father was menUUy incompetent, whieh was not proven to the satisfaction of Judge Newkirk and he upheld the will. The contestant appeals, glving the following reasons: 1. That said paper is not the last will and testament of the said deceased. 2. At the time of the execution of said paper the deceased was not of sound mind and disposing niemory and was mentally incompetent to make a. will. 3. At the time of the execution of said paper, the said deceased was under the undue influence and restraint of certain other persons, and that said paper was not his own will.
