Elgin, 111., Oc-t. 5. - Resolutions calling upon the white-ribboners of the state to raise funds to pay the $300,000 trust bonds whieh incumber the Woman's Temple and offering sympathy to Mrs. Caree will be introduced at the twenty-flfth annual convention of the Illinois union, which opened today. The friends of the Temple propose to "make the flght of their Uves" to commit the Illinois delegates in favor oí the project. The convention opened today in the First Methodist Church of Elgin witli an executive com-mittee of the state officers and heads of the various state districts. The birthday anniversary of Miss Francés E. Willard and "crusade day" in honor of "Mother" Eliza J. Thompson will be features of the convention. Neal Dow's birthday, called ' "prohibition dáy," will be the subject of an addrees by Miss Marie C. Brehm.
