This case is the only one iu this viciuity. -Mrs. Ewily, wife of Dwight Hnb! s of Jiickson, was vibiting relatives hore last week. ■ - Milo Haight is building a me:it markot adjoining the store of C. II. Kulsoy & Co. -Mrs. Haner, wife of L. Haner of Teoumseh, was visiting relatives in Milán last week. - Moro wood is shipped froui Milán station thttn any other poiat on tho T. ifc A. A. rai'.road. - Albert Smith of the firm of C. II. Kelsey & Co., is recovering from an attack of scarlet fever. - Jushua Hauson has sold his interest in the brick and Ulo conipany to Vijtor Hanson of the same firm. - D. Ciamer, Esq., of Aun Arbor delivered the "big talk" to the Üdd Fallows at the instaüation of their oflicerB, at East Slilan Jan. 3. - The proprietor of the billiard table here has been uotified not to allow certain minora to play billiards at his place. lie has posted up a notiee that no uiiuors will be allowed to play at bis table. - The following officera have been elected in Wolverine Lodgo No. 197, I. O. O. F., of Milan : Alex. Smith, X. G.; Eldoroua C. Mead, V. G.; Winfield S. Wallace, JRao. Sec; Dan Throop, Per. Sec; Aaron Sauford, Treas.; Archie D. Moliityre, Itep. to grand lodge. The following oflicers have been eleoted of Milan Lodge No. 3 3, F. and A. M., for the ensuing year : I. B. Hitchcock, W. M.; Wm. T. Cook, S. W.J James Doyle, J. W.; Valentine Doyle, Sec; C. H. Wilson, ïreas.; Dr. Besstio S. D.; Myron Wilson, J. D.; R. Vancelil]s aud Hitchcock, Stewards; Wiu Bogardus, tyler. - A dance took place at Ayres's hotel on New Years evening, at which 58 couplo vigorously tripped the " fautaBtio toe." The party was given for the purpose of assisting a worthy family in need, occasioned by a long sickness o( several nionths. $20 was received and paid to the party to whose benefit the party was given.
