MlLAïf, Jan. 20. - Mr. Josepb Roñan, Esq., oí' Monroe, was in Milán on Jan. lüth. - Mis. Jennie Burnhani, wifo of John Burnham of York, died on Jan. lGth of cousumption. - Mrs. Burt haa a new piano, the íirst new instrument of tho kind brought into this village. - A concert by colored persons, five in number, took place at the churcb here ou Jan. 14th. -Mr. W. S. Wallace has bought a lot on Gay 's addition and will build a residence on it nest spring. - Two gentlemen were in Hilan last week trying to secure a store for the business of general merchandise, and also to deal in grain. - A night-cap social was held at the residence of Mr. Wm. J. Dunning on Jan. 16th, the proceeds to be used for the benefit of the Milan Eeform club. - Mr. Earnest Throop who has been employed as elerk in V. C. Putnani & Co'a. store for several raonths, and whosr time has expired, will attend school during the reniainder of present term - A dance carne off at the hotel oí Wtu. Ayres on Jan. 15th for the benent of Charles Canfield, whose health has been so bad for several ruonths taat he has not been able to do any work during that timo.
