Mr: Huellor- at the university on Suuday afternoon ncxt. - Law and dental comni(;noenier.ts March 24. The commenceraent of the medical schools, owing tu the lengthened term of nine months, will occur in June. -Prof. John Clark Kidpath, Professor of Belles Lettres and History in Aebury Uuiversity will deliver the oration before the law students in tho law lecture-room at 2 P. M. Saturday. - I'rof. V. H. l'ayne of Aun Arbor, has been spending a few dys in the city. Morris, who has occupied the chair of Modern Languages in the Uuiversity since 1870, left Weduesday for Baltimoro, whero he bas received the appointment as a lecturer in Johns üopkius TJniver8Íty. His successor is Prof. Edward L. Walter, who has been Assistant Professor of Latin and for tho past eix months has been pursuing his studies in Paris. He had previously spent several years at Leipsio wkero ho received the degree of Ph. D. - Michigan university, Ann Arbor, organized in 1811, James B. Angoll, LL. D., president, has 68 instructora, 1,415 students ; graduated 430 at last oom menceraent; whole number of graduates,5,G70; valueof buildings and grounds, 380,000; ainount of productiva funde, $543,000; number of volumes iu library, 30,000; received legislativo appropriation, $42,210; annual cost of tuition per student, $20; average price of board per week, $2.50.
