The third district democratie convention met in Chelsea Saturday and was calléd to order by OrrinTliatcher chairman of district committee, after wldeh J.D.Con'yv.as elpctod teinporary cliairman and Jas. Benham temporary secretary. Patrick McGinnis, E. B. Norriand Jacob Jolms were appointed committee on credentials and G. W. Tnrnbnll, M.J. Flynn and Philip Blum committee on permanent organization. The latter committee reported E. B. Norris for permanent chairman and J. Benham, Jr., for permanent secretary. The committee on eredentials reponed the íolloviiiRdelegates entitled toseats. Bridcewater, F. M. Palmer, H. Palmer, Wm. Gadd and Jas. Benham, Jr. Dexter, Greene Johnson, Ray Johnson and Charles Cooper. Freedom, Godfrey Gran, Mathew Alber, Jacob Johns and Mathew Schaiblee. Lyndon, Thos. Youngs, Fred IIowlett and F. ft. Snyder. Lodi, Michael Staebler, Philip Blum, Fred Zalm and Fred Frey. .Manchester, E. B. Norris, J.P.Corey, A. Case, J. G. English, Michael Daley and Michael Brenner. Lima, Samuel Seney, E. P. Downer and Finley AVhitaker. Scio, P. McGuinness, A. T. Iiughes, Garritt Wall, Fred Yeager, Ed. Moore and G. W. Pratt, Sylvan.AVm. Nutten, F. Sweetland, Wm. ïtiomey, J.P.Foster, Thos. Clark and G. W. TurnBull. Sliaron, Malt. J.Flynn, Asliley Parks and Micliael Kapler. Matt. J. Flynn and Finley Whitaker were appointed tellers, after which the townships were called and the following were put in nomination. Freedom present ed J. G.Feldkamp, Manchester, J. D. Corey, Scio, Jas. S. Gorman and Sylvan, Orrin Thatcher. The first informal ballot was as follows: J. S. Gorman W Orrin Thatclier 12 ,T. T). Górey J. G. Fekïkamp 4 The name of J. G. Feldkamp was withdrawn and the second informa' ballot was as follows: J. S. Gorman 1( Orrin Tliatcher 1 j J. ü. Corey ■' The first formal ballot was as follows: Jas. S. Gorman 2 Orrin Thatcher 1 ,T. I). Corey 2 The nomination of Mr. Gorman WPS made unanimons after which the following district committee was appointed: Patrick Mcííiiinness, A. Case and Jacob Johns. The convention then adjourned.
