Stony Creek, Jan.12. 1902- Stony Creek Grange No. 51 installed the following officers at their last meeting: Master, Rhubemiller; Overseer, Arthur Ave; Lecturer, James Lowden; Steward, Charley Thrasher; Chaplain, Cora Finch; treasurer, Levi Rogers; secretory, H. P. Thompson : gate keeper, Lewis Conda; lady assistant, Jessie Millen: Pomona. Mrs.Ellis; Flora, Lucy Coe; Ceres, shvia Cae: librarian, Clarence Davis.

The little son of Mr. and Mrs. Will died very suddenly Thursday morning of heart failure. Mr. and Mrs. Miller have the sympathy of a large circle of friends in their sad, lonely days.

Mr. Semer Coombs has sold his place and moved his family near Au Gras, Mich.

Mr.Armbruster has bought the Semer Coombs place and is repairing it He will move in in the spring.

J. G. Wirt is home again after a few weeks' stay at his new store at Cherry Hill.

Rev. H. J. B. Marsh is holding meeting  at West Sumpter.

A Bible study class has been organized here and will hold meetings once in two weeks at the M.E., parsonage during the winter.

Miss jenevieve Olcott, of Detroit is spending a few days with her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Barr, and wife.

Mr. and Mrs. Will Widdecome are spending a few days with relatives in his vicinity.

The Crescent Aid society will meet with Mrs. T. Buck on Wednesday, Jan. 29. Dinner will be served.

Mrs.J. K. Campbell is taking a tour through some of the northern countries in the interest of the institutes.
