Saline. Jan. 14.- Howard Rogers made his first trip in carrying the U. S. mail from the Lake Shore R. R. to the postoffice today.

W.M. Briggs, our painter and decorator, has finished his work on the Fowler hotel.

Mrs. K. Bartlett has been called to Ann Arbor to be with her sister, Mrs. O. L. Robison, who is ill.

Rev. Mr. Caldwell of Ann Arbor, is making a visit with his daughter, Mrs. C. F. Unterkircher.

You can get your dinner at the Presbyterian church Wednesday from 12. to 2 p. m.

George J. Nissley bought the Binder property today.

The W. C. T. U. will meet at the home of Mrs. John Hull this week.

A big crowd from here will attend the school social at the Graft school house, where Miss Nettie Moore is teaching.

W. H. Davenport was in Detroit on business today.

Arthur Davenport, who is employed in the firm of Burnham & Stopel in Detroit, was home for Sunday.

Dr. Vincent's lecture on "The Man Behind the Gun" next Tuesday night should be attended by everyone.

Ed Alber, who has been working in the flouring mill of S. M. Bixby has secured a position In the flouring mill of Robort Henkel, in Detroit.

A committee of the Brooklyn council were  here last night looking over our gas plant and expressed themselves as much pleased with the light.

E. A. Hauser and Ira Wood have been in Ann Arbor looking after the welfare of Seneca Litchard.

A. M. Humphrey has been in Detroit on business.
