Chelsea, Mich,. Jan. 20.- The D., Y., A. A. & J. electric line made regular trips through from Ann Arbor to Jackson Sunday and seemed to be running nearly on regular time.
Mrs. James McLaren, jr., of West Middle street, is seriously ill at her home.
The M. C. R. R. Co. has a large force of' men at work in their yards here putting in new sidings and making other needed repairs.
Geo. H. Foster, who has been confined to his home for the last three weeks with an attack of grip is improving and expects to soon be at his place of business again.
W. A. Boland and other officials of the syndicate with whom he is associated in the construction of the electric line from Jackson to Detroit, were here Saturday inspecting their property. The party had with them as their guest B. S. Coler, ex-comptroller greater New York.
There is evidence of an early spring this year (or else all signs of former years will have been misleading) as the man who wants to conduct the offices of the township is making a canvas for votes to secure the nomination for the particular office he wants.
The Epworth league has completed arrangements for a musical recital at the church on Friday evening. January 31. Prof. Renwick, pipe organ instructor of the University School of Music, will preside at the organ and Earle G. Killeen, of the same school, a baritone singer, will also be one of the leading attractions.
