A BUZZ SAW GOT IN ITS WORK

AND HENRY PAUL WILL LOSE SOME FINGERS

Deputy Grand Commander Ashley visited the Saline Maccabees and gave them pointers

Saline, Mich., Jan. 29 - A serious accident happened to Henry Paul, who is living on the John Cook place. While working around a buzz saw, his right arm came in contact with the saw and was cut so deep that the cords and sinews were severed and the saw cut into the bone. He may lose the use of two or three fingers because of the tendons being cut.

Victor Sturm has returned from the north, where he has been looking after his lumber interests.

Mrs. L. Silsbury, one of Saline's old pioneers, reached the ripe old age of 83 years last Thursday and is hale and hearty.

Deputy Grand Commander Ashely visited the K.O.T.M. lodge last Friday and gave them some pointers on degree team work. After the meeting they adjourned to the Binder hotel, where a banquet was served. Good toasts were responded to.

Rev. Mr. Collins, of Detroit, lectured here Friday for the benefit of the Loyal Guards Insurance, on his travels in other countries.

Saline, Mich., Jan. 30 - The social at the M.E. church was well attended. 

The merry times club attended the school social at Mooreville last Friday.

Sam Josenhans and son spent Sunday with J. Josenhans of York.

Mel Bliss, of Grand Rapids, made a flying visit to Saline last week.

Clay Ford is in Detroit on business this week.

Prof. Toze has been in Ann Arbor this week.

About ten of our gun club went to Ann Arbor last week to attend a shooting contest there.
