34 Years Blind Sight Restored
34 YEARS BLIND SIGHT RESTORED
It is difficult to realize the feelings of a man who has been blind for 34 years, when he suddenly finds that he can see. This is just the case of Mr. Perry of Portland, Mich. When a boy 7 years old he had an accident which destroyed one eye and injured the other so that he became blind. During the week he was operated upon by Dr. R. S. Copeland at the new hospital. When the bandages were removed Mr. Perry was able to distinguish the features of those around him. He was so happy that he could hardly find words to express himself. The operation is called in medical terms irridectomy. It is the cutting off and removing of the skin that had been forced into the eye by the accident.
