Chelsea to Observe It 

Chandler Rogers Has Been Elected Captain of the H.S. Baseball Team

Chelsea, Mich., Jan 31. - The 25th anniversary of the Y.P.S.C.E. of the Congregational church will occur Sunday, Feb. 2, and will be observed by the society here with a musical and literary program and a short address by the pastor, Rev. C.S. Jones.

Rev. O.J. Perrin will hold services in the Sylvan church next Sunday evening.

Archie Wilkinson has made arrangements with both of the banks here to receive contributions for the McKinley memorial fund.

The ladies of the Congregational church will hold a Puritan social in that church Wednesday, evening, Feb. 5.

It is reported that appropriate memorial exercises were not held at Chelsea high school on McKinley's birthday.

The Chelsea High School Athletic association elected the following officers Monday:

President - Carl Mensing.
Vice-President - Lee Foster.
Secretary - Arthur Raftrey.
Treasurer - Herbert Schenk.
Business Manager - Wirt McLaren.
Captain Baseball Team - Chandler Rogers.

The following have been elected officers for Waterloo Arbor, A.O.O.G.

Chief - Charles Runclman.
Vice-Chief - Charles Vicary.
Secretary - Treasurer - Charles G. Daily.
Chaplain - Nettie Foster.
Chief Speaker - Robert Vicary.
Conductor - Henry Lehman.
Inside Guard - Nellie Collins.
Outer Guard - John Collins.
Medical Examiner - J.W. Robinson, M.B.

The Chelsea market today is as follows: Wheat, 82 cents; rye, 58 cents; oats, 44 to 45 cents; corn in the ear, 29 cents; barley, $1.15 per hundred; beans, $1.00 to $1.25 for 60 pounds; clover seed, $5.75; popcorn, 60 cents; potatoes, 60 cents; eggs, 20 cents; butter, 15 cents; beef, 2 to 4 1/2 cents; veal calves, 5 to 5 1/2 cents; hogs, $5.75; sheep, 2 to 3 cents; lambs, 3 to 4 cents; chickens, 8 cents; fowls, 7 cents; turkeys, 8 cents.
