BOND CASE HAS BEEN SETTLED
The well-known lawsuit of Hattie Bond vs. the Lake Shore & Michigan Southern R.R. has been discontinued. It was brought for Miss Bond being tipped out of a buggy in PittsÃield, her horse being frightened by a locomotive on the Ypsllantl branch of the L.S. & M.S. R. R. It was tried in the circuit court twice and had been sent down from the supreme court for its third trial. In the first trial, the jury gave the plaintiff a verdict of $1,500, and in the second $2,000.
Lehman, Bros. & Stivers were the attorneys for the plaintiff and C. E. Weaver for the railroad company.
