BUYS OUT HIS BROTHER-IN-LAW

Lisemer Sells His Paper to Eugene Helber

GERMAN PAPERS COMBINE

Helber Announces that His Attitude Will Be Independent

The German newspaper field in Washtenaw county has been cleared up. After this week there will be but one German newspaper published in the county and that will be published by Eugene .J. Helber.

For some time it has been known that Mr. Helber had the upper hand in the fight of the two German papers for subscriptions and advertising and that his was the paper which would survive if either went under.

Mr. Lisemer started an English annex which expired some weeks ago and today Mr. Helber made his terms for the purchase of the Hausfreund and Post and will after another issue unite it with the Neue Washtenaw Post. The newly announced amalgamated paper will probably be called the Washtenaw Post, resuming the old time name.

The new paper will be a strong paper and with no immediate prospect that anyone else will be fool enough to attempt to put another paper in its field. Mr. Helber says it will be strictIy independent in its political attitude, doing justice to both sides.
