The Eastern Star Members Will Visit Ann Arbor Lodge Tonight

Chelsea, Mich, March -Olive Lodge, O.E.S. of this village will visit their sisters of Ann Arbor in a body tonight, The ladies of the Eastern Star at Ann Arbor will have their hands full to entertain their sister Stars of Chelsea, as the visiting delegation will consist of the entire lodge.

The funeral of the late Mrs. James McLaren, Sr., of Lima, was held from the Congregatlonal church yesterday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock Rev. C.S. Jones officiating. There was a very large attendance of fríends and neighbors. The Lodge of O. E. S., of which she was a member attended In a body.

At the caucus held In the opera house last evening by the Workingman's party, the attendance was a very large one and everything was done in a qulet and orderly manner. Chairman A. W. Wilkinson called the meeting to order and after a few brief remarks, a motion was made nominating Fred Wedemeyer permanent. chairman. C. Parker was made secretary. A. W. Wilkinson and S. P. Fester were chosen tellers and the oath was administered by Attorney H. D. Witherell. The following gentlemen were placed in nomination for the various village offices without a dissenting vote: F.P.  Glazter; clerk; W.H. Hesselschwerdt; trustees for 2 years- W.J. Knapp, O.C. Burkhardt, and A.W. Wilkinson; treasurer-Fred Roedel, assessor-F.P. Foster.

Don H. C. Bowen, representing the Abbott voting machine is here with two machines which will be used at the election next Monday and will hold schools of Instruction until all qualified are thoroughly instructed in the workings of the machine and also hopes to be able to sell them to the township and village. '

The members of Chelsea lodge K of P. held a social at their castle hall last evening that was a decided success both socially and financially.
