ELEVEN DEATHS FROM PNEUMONIA
During February there were 21 deaths in the city of Ann Arbor, of whom 8 were of persons over 65 years of age. The important causes of death are put down as tuberculosis of the lungs 1, other tuberculosis 1, pneumonia 2, cancer 3, violence 2.
In Ypsilanti during February there were 11 deaths, of which 6 were of persons over 65 and 2 of under 1 year of age. The important causes of death are put down as tuberculosis of the lungs 1. scarlet fever 1, pneumonia 1, influenza 1.
In Washtenaw county there were 64 deaths in February, of whom 34 were over 65 years of age. Eleven of these deaths were from pneumonia, indicating that as the most fatal disease of the month. There were five deaths from cancer and four from tuberculosis.
