THE DEATH OF WM. SCADIN

     Webster, April 1--Miss Anna Conlon has returned from a business stay in Ann Arbor.
     Miss A. Olorara Laston of M. A. C. is at home for her Easter vacation. 
     On account of the inclement weather the Easter exercises in the Webster Congregational Church were postponed until next Sunday.
     Mrs. Ira Baccus has returned from a visit with her daughter, Mrs. Chris. Taylor, at Stockbridge.
     Rev. W. F. Morrison and Mrs. G. H. Winslow were on the sick list last week.
     Chet Johnson has moved from the Holmes farm onto Johnson Baccus' farm.
     Mrs. Henry Stahl entertained the missionary society at tea on last Thursday. A good attendance was present and a pleasant and profitable time was spent.
     The funeral of Mr. Wm. Scadin was held on March 25 at 2 p. m. from the
A large concourse of sympathizing friends gathered to pay a last tribute of respect to the deceased, who was held in the highest esteem among his neighbors and friends. Mr. Scadin was a patient sufferer for many months, and his death was not unexpected, but it came with a shock to the community. Rev. W. F.  Morrison officiated and the remains were interred in the family burying plot. The family have the sincere sympathy of all.
     The republican caucuses were held in the town hall on last Thursday. Almost the same ticket is in the field that was a year ago. Bert Kenny was renominated for supervisor.
