Law Office Burglarized

Some One Broke Into the Office of Cavanaugh & Wedemeyer.

$24.25 Taken From the Desk of Attorney Cavanaugh. Suspicion That it Was Local Talen.

It is not generally believed that although much money passes through a law office, that a law office is a profitable place to burglarize. Therefore if a law office is burglarized it is an indication of faith that the firm is doing such a large business that they do not take their money home every night, having so much that it is almost a burden to them. That some people have faith in the firm of Cavanaugh & Wedemeyeh and that this faith is justified was proven yesterday morning. Their office was burglarized and $24.25 taken. When Attorney Wedemeyer came down to his office his desk had been pried open, but he found nothing taen. Soon after his partner, Attorney Cavanaugh, came in, and like the story of the three bears he, too, discovered that some one had been through his desk. He found that $24.25 which he had left in his desk was gone. No trace of the burglars has been found, but there are suspicions that it was local talent.
