Professors Are The Victors

Hon. Judge Kinne has ordered the decree of the auditor general directing the sale of the properties of Professors Pattengill, Knowlton and Thompson, for non-payment of sewer taxes, set aside.

This does not mean, however, that the learned gentlemen of Hill street will not be required to pay an amount toward the improvement of their properties consequent on the putting in of new sewering.

A compromise in the matter will be probably made and when the next city assessment is made the professors will be called upon to pay the amount that may be agreed upon.
