How long may one neighbor's turkeys poach on the preserves of another without protest from the neighbor whose property is trespassed on?

That is the question that two German farmers have been ineffectually trying to solve for six years. At last they have come to court to have the matter settled for them.

It seems that the turkeys belonging to Eliza Gunther have been wandering over into Bernhardt Blomenauer's yard. A long time ago they wore out their welcome. Feeling that a wholesome object lesson was needed, Mr. Blomenauer recently amputated certain feathers of two of the turkeys - in others words "docked" them. As a result, one of them died and the other was rendered worthless. Mrs. Gunther took the next step. She engaged M. J. Cavanaugh as her attorney, and commenced proceedings in Justice Doty's court against Mr. Blomenauer, who secured attorney Arthur Brown as counsel.
