Bliss Tries For Manila Post

The local civil service board held a special examination in the supervisors' room in the court house today. 

The examination is being held for the position of United States physiological chemist at Manila, Philippine Islands.

There is only one candidate before the board. He is C. L. Bliss, assistant instructor in the laboratory department at the University. Mr. Bliss, wo has always been a brilliant student and able instructor, has been busy all day taking the examination, which is written and of a pretty severe character.
