Was Burned To Death

The little daughter of John Renton, who lives near Stony Creek, in Augusta township, was burned to death last week while her parents were away from home.

The little one was playing around a bonfire in the yard when her clothes caught fire. Her screams brought her sister to her rescue, who with rare presence of mind in so young a child, wrapped a piece of carpet about the little once, but she was burned so badly that death resulted shortly after.
