HAPPENINGS IN YPSILANTI TOWN

The King's Daughters' supper given at Miss Waterbury's last Friday evening was well attended. The society cleared $6.20, which goes toward the $10 voted for hospital work.

Rev. and Mrs. .Stanley Shaw were calling on their parishoners in this vicinity last Thursday.

The Spencer and Carpenter schools close next Thursday for the summer vacation.

A little daughter is now gladening the home of Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Burrell.

Miss Grace Wiard has accepted a position as teacher of music in a school in northern Illinois, and has gone there to look over the work.

Mr. and Mrs. S. Ballintine, Detroit, who have been visiting at Mr. W. W. Voorhees', have returned to the city.

Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur J. Tuttle arrived in  Ypsilanti Thursday evening from Manistee. They will make their future home on the farm near Ypsilanti.

Mr. and Mrs. C. Tuttle gave'a bridal reception early Tuesday evening for Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur J. Tuttle.

Mrs. Caroline Phillips, Detroit, carne out Sunday afternoon for a short visit with Mr. and Mrs. Charles Crittenden.

The Misses Clara and Mildred Butler and Messrs. Edward Dix and Claud Therret, Detroit, spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Cross.

Mrs. Emma Wiard and Master Morgan and Mrs. Charles Voorhees visited Miss Nellie Crittenden Tuesday.

Mrs. M. E. Freeman is spending a few days in Ann Arbor, the guest of Mrs. Ella Covert.

Mrs. Rawson has returned from an extended visit in Detroit.

Mr. and Mrs. Walter Dlxon will spend their summer vacation with the parents of Mr. Dixon.

The Misses Nettie and Grace Crittenden are home for the summer vacation.

Will Wiard's immense strawberry bed is ripe for harvest. He wants 150 pickers before this week closes.

Mr. and Mrs. W. W. Voorheis spent the past week in Detroit. Mr. and Mrs. Eaton spent Jast week at Mrs. Eaton's old home.

Miss Maud Carpenter visited Miss and Sunday.
