Sold Goods Without A License

SOLD GOODS WITHOUT A LICENSE

S. I. Beach, an agent for a smoothing iron, with two other agents employed by him were arrested yesterday by Chief of Police Warren charged with violating the ordinance in selling goods without a license. They were brought before Justice Doty and on the plea that they did not know of the existence of the ordinance in question they were let go by paying the costs.
