MEN BADLY HURT IN MILAN

At Milan, Monday, while Wabash engine No. 73 was putting coal in the bunkers, at 2:35 p.m. and was at the top, the trestle collapsed and all of the cars and two brakemen fell to the ground.

Brakeman Fred Correy had his left leg caught and crushed very badly. He had to remain for half an hour until the cars could be raised so he could be released. He will recover.

Brakeman John Resmon had his hip bruised and was hurt about the legs.

Jerome Call was on the roof and was struck on the head, but did not fall.

A section hand, Albert Schroeder, was under the trestle working. Hearing the track give he ran out just before the trestle fell. One end of the car to which the engine was attached fell, uncoupling the engine, allowing it to run down the incline.
