COMMENCEMENT WEEK BRIDE

MISS MARY ELLA FERRIS WAS MARRIED LAST EVENING

The Groom is Percy S. Peck of Grand Rapids—Rev. T. W. Grafton will Officiate

One of the fairest of commencement brides is Miss Mary Ella Ferris, whose marriage to Percy S. Peek, of Grand Rapids, was solemnized last evening at 7:30 at the Christian. Memorial church, Rev. T. W. Grafton, officiating. The Church will present an attractive appearance with simple but tasteful decorations of white roses, carnations and smilax.

The bride, who is one of Ann Arbor's most lovely daughters, was gowned in silk pointe de esprit, made over white satin, en train and trimmed with real lace. A handsome veil and shower bouquet of bridal roses completed this beautiful wedding toilet.

The bridesmaids are the Misses Maud Gale and Clara Peck. Both were gowned in white and carry red carnations. The maid of honor, Miss Etolia Ferris. was also gowned in white. She carried a shower bouquet of red roses.

The groom was attended by Earl Heenan and Messrs. John Trible and Cari Pelton acted as ushers.

On entering the church the bridal party was preceded by the following young ladies, who sang the bridal chorus, accompanied by soft music played by the Chequamegon orchestra: Misses Clara Jacobs, contralto, Lelia Farlin, soprano, and the Misses Forester, also Susie Trible, Grace Floy, Lucy McKenzie and Ruth Cushman. Miss Mabel Ross, of St. Louis, Mo., played the wedding march, accompanied by the orchestra. The beautiful Episcopal ring service was used. during which Miss Clara Jacobs sang a solo.

After the ceremony at the church the bridal party and guests repaired to the home of the bride, 321 S. Division street, where a wedding supper was served to the family and bridal party.

The out of town guests are Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Peck, Grani Rapids, Miss Addie Latham, Calofirnia, and Miss Mabel Ross, St. Louis, Mo.

The bride is the recipient of many elaborate and beautiful wedding gifts, among them being a house and lot on Jefferson avenue, Grand Rapids, the gift of the groom's uncle and aunt.

Mr. and Mrs. Peck left at 9:30 last night for the east, where they will remain three weeks before going to their home in Grand Rapids.

Mr. Peck, who graduated from the law department of the University of Michigan in 1901, has been pursuing a course in pharmacy in the University and will get his degree before the holidays. At that time he will enter his father's drug store in Grand Rapids.
