Willis, Mich., June 23- Mr. Martin Breining is very sick with inflammation of the lungs. Dr. Huston, of Ypsilanti, is attending him.

Mrs. Winnie Nugent, of Montpelier, Indiana, spent several days with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Michael Dawson a short time ago.

C. H. Greenman and daughter, Jessie made a business trip to Belleville last Thursday.

Mrs. Della Young, of Ypsilanti, was visiting with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Smith last week.

The Island school with Miss Brown as teacher closed the spring term Friday, June 13, with exercises by the scholars after which they held a picnic on the yard. Ice cream was served to those present.

Little Ethel Hammond spent last Saturday and Sunday with her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Draper.

Children's Day at Fraternity Grange last Tuesday was a complete success.

Charles Harris, of York township, was visiting with his sister, Mrs. Chas. W. Alban, last Sunday.

Mrs. S. P. Ballard is very sick.

Mr. and Mrs. Wm. A. Russell and Mrs. Mary U. Russell attended the state encampment of the G. A. R. and W. R. C. at Pontiac week before last.

The Morgan school closed one week ago last Friday with a picnic, but the teacher, Mrs. Jessie Wallace, and the scholars were greatly disappointed, for Mr. Brown of Ypsilanti failed to fetch the ice cream.

We were glad to see by the Daily Argus that George H. Pond has been reappointed postmaster at Ann Arbor again.

The storm down here week before last done great amount of damage by blowing down trees and out buildings and fences. The hail destroyed crops for different ones.

Samuel Burns is visiting his sister, Mrs. Fred Roberts.

Mr. James Lowden and family were visiting at Elmer Sanderson's last Sunday.

Mr. and Mrs. Frank Fullerton, of Toledo, O., and Mr. and Mrs. Ada Walters and family were visiting at Henry Fullerton's last Sunday.

Mr. Wm. A. Russell has had his house painted. It looks very nice.

Miss Mabel Walters spent last week in Wyandotte visiting with an aunt.

Mr. and Mrs. Henry Hammond were visiting at A. B. Draper's last Sunday.

Mr. Frank Burns, of Belleville, was calling on his sister, Mrs. Fred Roberts, last Sunday.

Mr. George Harris is very bad off with rheumatism.

Lewis Miller lost a very valuable cow one week ago last Thursday.

Wesley Brineing, who has been attending school in the law department of the U. of M., is home for his summer vacation.
