Miss Edlth Knights has resigned her principalship of the Milan schools for next year.

Miss Nellie Delaforce is home from the U. of M., having finished course in the University and received her degree of A. B. She is entertaining Miss Chase, of Otsego for a few days.

Mrs. H. T. Sill is still seriously ill at her home on East Main street.

George Minto is in New York city on business this week.

Mrs. L. McLaughlin returned Saturday from a three weeks' visit with friends in Petoskey.

Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Rouse returned from their Saline visit Saturday a. m.

Rev. and Mrs. H. A. Field and daughter returned from their visit with friends in Rollin and Weston, Saturday.

Mrs. H. C. Markham returned to her home in Ann Arbor accompanied by her sister, Mrs. G. R. Williams, who will remain a few days.

Mr. R. Wilcox is digging the cellar for his new residence on County Street.

The Birthday club indulged in a picnic in Allen's grove on Riverside farm, Friday.

Mr. Joel Marble is in Detroit for the week.

Mr. Chas. Gauntlett was home from Ypsilanti over Sunday.

Mrs. L. J. Bell has returned from her Detroit visit.

Saturday the Masons and K. of P.'s played a game of base ball at Milan. Score, 13 to 14 in favor of the Masons.
