Dr. J. D. Boylan, supervisor of the Fifth ward in this city, died yesterday of consumption, after a long illness. He would have been 40 years of age next Saturday. He was a graduate of the University and previous to his illness had been associated in the practice of medicine with Dr. J. W. Morton. While he had his health he was regarded as an able and capable man with a bright future. He leaves a wife, but no children, and one sister, Mrs. Norman Gates.
