Novel French silks are printed in lovely Pompadour devices in vague chine effects.

Airy curls and zephyr weight puffs are indispensable in arranging the new evening coiffure a la Recamier.

The round waist blossoms out fresh on costumes and toilets of every sort and for every possible occasion.

Pure undyed silk in a weave resembling canvas and somewhat coarse in texture is called Arabian silk. It is used for tailor suits for morning and traveling wear.

Costumes of pure white, from plain taffeta parasol to shoe tip, will be one of the dominating features of summer dress, and these gowns will be worn morning, noon and night.

Lace insertions in every possible width and device are still used in unlimited quantities, and, whether the material is silk or cotton, the amount is as lavish in one case as the other.

Pretty yokes and vests for summer gowns are made of bands of taffeta or peau de soie between stripes of brier stitching, and the collar around the silk yoke is made of net, well covered with ribbon embroidery, dotted with jet and gold sequins. - New York Post.
